For this concert, instrumental and vocal works by well-known Jewish classical composers such as Viktor Ullmann, Ernest Bloch, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Franz Schreker and Leo Zeitlin, as well as some of the cabaret songs of Friedrich Hollaender will be performed.
Shir Ami performs music of the 20thc composed by Jewish composers and songwriters, giving voice to the often neglected works of the Jewish Diaspora. Featuring Jason Calloway on cello, Michael Klotz on viola, Noah Geller and Orsolya Korcsolan on violins, Rachel Calloway, mezzo-soprano, and Michael Mizrahi on piano, Shir Ami performs music ranging in genres from classical to cabaret to popular songs.
